PROSECCO DOC TREVISO, ROSÉ AND THE CHOOSE COCKTAILS AT THE 74TH CANNES FILM FESTIVAL

Italian Pavilion, Hotel Majestic Cannes
6 – 16 July 2021

Finally, the Cannes Film Festival is also opening to the public again, after the forced pause of 2020, and on the Croisette you can relive the – almost paradoxical – pleasure of closing yourself in a space to share the enjoyment of great cinema. And with Cannes, the Italian Pavilion is back, the dedicated space that in major European events – here, as in Venice and Berlin – welcomes professional and artistic delegations and all employees of the Italian and foreign cinema industry present at the festival.

The theme of the Italian Pavilion in Cannes 2021 is a poetic declaration and a wish: “cinema is a journey”. After months of closures due to the pandemic, blocked borders and tightened theaters, the cinema reopens our eyes in front of screens, colors, reflections of light that tell about our country.

Italy in Cannes this year is strongly present in all sections and represented by an Italian doc, PONTE1948, who will accompany visitors in a real exploration of the senses thanks to the elegance of Prosecco Doc Rosé, which captivates for the immediate pleasure released by the fresh scents of acacia flowers and wild rose, the fresh scent with delicate notes of meadow flowers of Prosecco Doc Extra Dry Treviso and the contagious euphoria released by the Choose Cocktail: Mojito, Margarita, Sex on the Beach , Spritz and Negroni are all Italian ready-made drinks, good, healthy and easy to drink thanks to the alcohol content of only 5.5%.

Not just images, therefore, but a pattern of colors, aromas, flavors and above all different, rich sounds. These are the sounds of our language, the national one and the one of the dialects that over the decades have populated films and television series. A multilingual which is one of the peculiarities of our cinema, and which reflects the unparalleled variety of landscapes, physical and human, of a country that finds its unity in the encounter of diversity, in its eccentricity.
