GOLD MEDAL WINNER IN WEINWIRSCHAFT’S “TOP 100”,
SAKURA AWARDS, BERLINER WINE TROPHY
AND NOW THEY’RE LOOKING TO THE FUTURE
Ponte di Piave – March 2020. With trade shows postponed or cancelled, uncertainty in the markets and meetings reduced to a minimum, these are difficult times for the wine sector – as they are for all of Italy and indeed the whole world. This is a period that forces us to slow down and reflect on what we’ve done, what are priorities are for the moment and what future objectives we have.
At Ponte, there are two fundamental principles that link the past, the present and the future: quality and consistency.
The company has always worked tirelessly to deliver products that adhere to the highest international standards, striving for excellence throughout the production process, from the selection of raw materials through to distribution and customer service.
The fruits of this are illustrated by the many prestigious prizes and awards received by the company in the last few months alone. For instance, Ponte has been awarded a gold medal as part of leading magazine Weinwirschaft’s famous “Top 100” initiative, which crowned Ponte’s Prosecco as the best in the “Wholesalers – Ontrade” category.
Ponte has also won two gold medals at the Sakura Awards in Japan and the gold medal at the Berliner Wine Trophy 2020, to cite but a few.
These exceptional results are the product of Ponte’s meticulous attention to detail across every area of its business, something that has allowed the company to obtain important national and international certifications guaranteeing the quality of its wines:
- the prestigious FSSC 22000 certification, which guarantees the quality of the entire production and bottling process. This also guarantees agricultural and food safety for all production processes.
- our organic wines have obtained the Certificate of Conformity from the Soil and Health Control and Certification Body.
- all products also have BRC (British Retail Consortium) and IFS (International Food Standard) certification. These are ultra-high standards developed by European retail bodies to assess suppliers based on criteria spanning quality, safety and compliance with regulations in the food and agricultural sector.
The credit for this success undoubtedly goes to the people who put their heart and soul into their day-to-day work, as part of our extended family. At this delicate time, they are doing everything they can while adhering to the government measures.
People have always been at the heart of our company. Ever since we started out, they’ve focused on maximising the social impact of the winery by backing cultural, recreational and sporting events designed to promote the values of ethics, respect, passion and commitment.
Though everything is inevitably on hold at the moment, we’ve not stopped working. In fact, we’ve redoubled our efforts to make sure that we can come back stronger and launch unmissable new initiatives as soon as possible!
