GOLD MEDAL AT MUNDUS VINI 2021

PROSECCO DOC ROSÉ PONTE1948

FROM A STROKE OF GENIUS
TO A GOLD MEDAL
Story of a success foretold.

Created in 2007 following an inspired move from Viticoltori Ponte, which successfully combined Glera and Pinot Noir for the first time to create a new blend with stunning organoleptic qualities, Prosecco Doc Rosé has finally had its place secured among the pantheon of the great Italian wines as it continues to win plaudits and recognition around the world.

PONTE1948 is delighted to announce that the wine recently won the gold medal in the highly prestigious MUNDUS VINI 2021 competition. One of the most important wine competitions in the world, the event is held in Düsseldorf in August and February and sees over 11,000 wines from all over the world presented each year.

The wines are split by product category/provenance and assessed by an international panel of experts featuring oenologists, vine growers, specialist resellers, sommeliers and industry journalists who sample the wines as part of a blind tasting. The panel looks for specific characteristics in terms of quality and taste, using the assessment method of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), which is recognised by the International Union of Oenologists (UIOE).

A pioneering product in the new generation of Proseccos, Prosecco Doc Rosé Brut Millesimato PONTE1948 was awarded the gold medal in the competition, underlining the innovative approach being adopted by one of the most creative and dynamic companies in the global wine sector.
